Where we are
We are situated in Castelcucco, a small city in the area of Treviso; the name is the combination of the words “castle” (castrum) and “cucco” (hill), that refer to the hilly territory of this municipality. Castelcucco is situated in a strategic position; for this reason, the Longobards and the Hungarians settled in the area during the centuries until the city became feud of Maltraverso and Da Castelli families in Middle Ages. In the XVI century, the area was occupied by the ancient Venetian, but they were defeated by the Napoleonic army in 1797.
